How To Test How Fast Your Internet Connection Is- See If Your ISP Is Lying To You
So your ISP claim that you'll get 20MB speeds, but you want to test if you're getting what you pay for. Here's how to do it for free.
If you want to do this on the iPhone/iPod/iPad just head over to the app store and download the Speedtest.net app for free. Then just hit begin test and you get your results. 
If you're on your computer (Mac or PC) just head over to Speedtest.net's website and hit begin test.
If you get considerably lower speeds than your ISP promise, you may want to call them and shout at them a bit.
